Tablelands Community Employment and Training Inc. (TCET Inc.) trading as Jobs Australia – Armidale has been providing employment-related services in the New England and North West Region of NSW for the past fourteen years. These services have concentrated on the districts surrounding Armidale including Uralla, Walcha and Guyra. In the initial years, the organization focused on training and support services for primarily unemployed members of the community. In recent years the focus has changed considerably to what is now a personnel recruitment service to employers, intensive employment services for jobseekers with identified employment barriers and accredited training to the broader community, individuals and business. Our services extend to the communities of Gunnedah, Inverell and Tamworth.
TCET Inc., is a Community Based Not-for-profit organisation managed by a volunteer Board formed from within our local community with representatives from Armidale, and Uralla. Board members are from all facets of local business, representatives of local council, of high academic standing and from similar organisation's.
The Board oversees all activity of TCET Inc., the Board assist with policy development, provide a source of consultation and guidance for staff and monitor the progress of the business in terms of the Mission Statement, and budget analysis. The staff of TCET Inc., are empowered to carry out their duties within the guidelines set by the Board and the organisation’s mission statement.

Jobs Australia is able to assist employers with a range of employment strategies ranging from pre-employment activities such as on the job training to twenty six week employment subsidies. These services are available through our Intensive Jobseeking Support Division which forms part of our employment services contract.
Jobs Australia can provide information on Traineeships and Apprenticeships. The State Government provides attractive employment incentives for Traineeships and Apprenticeships.
Jobs Australia has Workplace Assessors and Workcover Accredited Trainers on staff.

TCET Inc., currently holds a substantial Employment Services Contract with the Federal Government. This contract covers the Armidale, Gunnedah, Guyra, Inverell, Tamworth, Uralla, Walcha and regions.

Jobs Australia – Armidale and its associated offices, through its Employment Services, will provide suitable staff as required for casual, part-time and full-time positions at NO charge. As a standard service, Jobs Australia will screen, reference check and refer one or more suitable applicants to a listed vacancy. A higher level of service such as advertising, short-listing, and assistance with interviews may be required. If this level of service is requested a reasonable fee may be negotiated.
Introductions are confidential. All information supplied by Jobs Australia – Armidale whether written or verbal, is confidential and will not be disclosed by either party to any other party without the written consent of Jobs Australia - Armidale. Jobs Australia – Armidale undertakes to maintain total confidentiality of the Employer Client. A breach of these conditions is a breach of the Employment Services Contract offered by the Federal Government.
All information stored, developed or gathered in relation to the service provision for the Employer Client by Jobs Australia will be returned to the Employer Client upon cessation of the service. The Employer Client may request part or all of this information at any time. Jobs Australia – Armidale will retain candidate information relevant to its core business upon cessation. This will include but is not limited to candidates personal profiles, work history and skills assessment results. This information will only be retained with the individual candidates written consent.

During our normal processes candidates are asked about their general wellbeing and if they have any reason, health or otherwise, why they cannot work in any given environment. We do not carry out Medical Examinations which are the sole responsibility of our clients when necessary.
If an Intensive Support Strategy is adopted, Jobs Australia Intensive Support staff will endeavour to provide post placement support to ensure the employer/jobseeker relationship is positive and productive.
While we endeavour to select candidates who are suitable for your needs, we cannot accept liability on behalf of ourselves, our servants or agents for any loss or damage, or other costs irrespective of how they are caused, which you may suffer or for which you may become liable - arising out of, or in connection with the introduction of the candidate to your company, or the candidate’s subsequent employment with your company.
